1 Injured In Lake Shore Drive Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) -- One person was seriously hurt Monday morning when a vehicle flipped over in an accident on Lake Shore Drive.
The accident happened on the southbound Outer Drive near Belmont Avenue, police said. Police responded around 6:50 a.m.
Police responded to the report a person trapped in a crash about 6:50 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive at Belmont Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli, citing preliminary information.
The wreck was apparently a rollover, Mirabelli said. Police said the accident victim was trapped inside.
A person was taken in serious, but stable, condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva.
