Person Seriously Burned In Southeast Side Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) - A woman is in critical condition after suffering second-degree burns in a Southeast Side fire Wednesday afternoon.
The fire at 7337 S. Shore Drive was reported about 6 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.
A 41-year-old woman attempted to put out a grease fire in her apartment with water, Fire Media Affairs spokesmen Sean Flynn said. She suffered burns on her abdomen and thighs.
The woman suffered second-degree burns covering 10 percent of their body. They were taken to the University of Chicago Mitchell Hospital in critical condition.
