Peraica To File Lawsuit Over Weekend Arrest
MCCOOK (WBBM) -- Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica says he plans to file a civil rights lawsuit against the Village of McCook--because Peraica says he was falsely arrested there over the weekend and accused of damaging campaign signs.

Peraica is accused in McCook of damaging the campaign signs of his challenger, who is the mayor of McCook.
"By the end of the day today, we hope to have on file in federal court a civil rights lawsuit against the Village of McCook for violation of constitutional rights, for false arrest, for stopping and detaining us without probable cause," Peraica told Newsradio 780's Steve Miller.
Peraica's challenger, McCook Mayor Jeffrey Tobolski, says, basically, bring it on.
"To me, it's more of the Tony Peraica show. Bottom line is, at the end of the day, he got caught and he got arrested."
In three weeks, Peraica has a court appearance to face the charges of damage to property. He says he will be vindicated.
