Peppers: Seahawks Played Like A Playoff Team
The talk has already started, or continued for that matter, that the Seattle Seahawks don't deserve to be in the playoffs. They ended the season 7-9,and are one of the worst teams in NFL history to make the playoffs. The Seahawks have the league's 23rd scoring offense (19.4 points per game and league's 25th scoring defense, allowing 25.4 points per game.
Despite their low ranking offensive and defensive units, they upset the defending Super Bowl Champions in the first round.
"They played well," Bears' defensive end Julius Peppers said of the Seahawks first round game. "They play well at home. You know, they're a playoffs team and they played like it. So you have to respect that regardless of the record and be ready to play when it's time, when the ball is kicked off."
So it seems as if all of the talk that the Seahawks don't belong in the playoffs is is exclusively outside the walls of Halas Hall. Which is a good thing, because if the Bears begin to think that, their offseason might start a week after the Saints'.
