Peppers Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week
Chicago Bears' DE Julius Peppers has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. This is the fourth time Peppers has received the award, the first in a Bears uniform.
Julius Peppers' three sacks and deflecting a pass that was intercepted by Charles Tillman during the Bears' 16-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins gave Peppers this achievement.
His three sacks were the most the Bears have had by a single player since Adewale Ogunleye had three at Oakland in Week 10 of the 2007 season. This also tied a career high and was the eighth he had a three-sack performance since starting his NFL career in 2002, which is the most any player has had over that span.
