Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Metra Train In Des Plaines
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a Metra train in Des Plaines on Tuesday.
The accident, involving Union Pacific Northwest Line Train No. 618, happened around 7:30 a.m. near the Des Plaines train station.
The pedestrian was struck at a cross walk near the train stop.
At the time of the accident, the train was running express and not stopping at the Des Plaines stop.
The train was delayed for two hours.
