Peavy To Return To Sox Lineup; Harrell Headed Back To Minors
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The White Sox are sending pitcher Lucas Harrell back to the Minor Leagues, as Jake Peavy returns from the disabled list.
Peavy was sent to the DL on June 8, after suffering a mild groin strain in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers.
He now returns for the final game of the Crosstown Classic against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
While he was out, the White Sox went back to a five-man rotation, and Harrell was available in the bullpen.
Harrell, 26, went 4-3 with a 3.25 ERA, and 49 strikeouts in 10 games, with Class AAA Charlotte.
