Peavy Could Return Wednesday Against Cubs
CHICAGO (CBS) Jake Peavy could return from a strained groin Wednesday against the Cubs, pitching coach Don Cooper told reporters Friday in Phoenix.
Peavy injured his groin June 5 and hadn't pitched in a game until a rehab start in Charlotte Thursday. He pitched well in that rehab start, striking out nine while not allowing a run in six innnings.
