Pau Gasol Sees No Appeal In Chicago's Deep Dish Pizza
(CBS) Pau Gasol signed with the Bulls in July 2014. He notably enjoys the arts and culture of the city, but in the nearly year-and-a-half he's called Chicago home, he hasn't embraced everything that's synonymous with Chicago.
Which is to say, Gasol has no interest in deep-dish pizza, as he revealed in a recent interview with GQ.
"I've tried it," Gasol said. "I'm not a fan of this deep dish pizza. To me, it's just a cake of melted cheese. I like the thin-crusted pizzas better."
To each his own, though most Chicagoans would wonder: What's wrong with a cake of melted cheese?
