Patrick Sharp Skates With Teammates, Is Nearing A Return

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Blackhawks winger Patrick Sharp skated with teammates Tuesday for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury nearly a month ago.
Sharp is unsure of when he'll return to game action, but he's progressing in his recovery.
"Everything feels solid," Sharp said. "It's nice to be back out there."
Coach Joel Quenneville summarized Sharp's status as "day-to-day," adding that he'll make room for the winger when a return is ready.
"He practiced well today," Quenneville said.
Sharp was injured when he was slammed into the boards in Chicago's game at Montreal on Nov. 4 He was helped off the ice and hasn't played since. Prior to the injury, Sharp had three goals and six assists in 13 games.
In other news, Chicago will be without goaltender Corey Crawford in Wednesday's game against St. Louis, Quenneville said. Crawford suffered an off-ice lower-body injury.
Chicago sits in sixth in the Western Conference with 31 points, four behind the first-place Anaheim Ducks.
After facing the Blues, the Blackhawks next play against the Canadiens on Friday at the United Center.
