Party Host Shot In Elgin
ELGIN, Ill. (STMW) - Two masked, armed men entered home where a man was hosting a gathering and shot the man Friday night in Elgin.
The incident happened Friday night in the 300 block of Washington Street, according to police spokeswoman Sue Olafson.
"Two armed, masked men entered the residence and demanded money," said Olafson. "The resident charged one of the offenders and a struggle ensued but during the struggle the resident was shot.''
The victim as taken to an undisclosed area hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, she said.
No one was in custody Saturday afternoon, she said.
