Park Ridge Neighbors Fight To Protect Art Studio
PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WBBM) -- Some Park Ridge residents who want to preserve their city's art history say an anonymous donor is helping their effort.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's David Roe reports, the donor will put up as much as $200,000 to save the former studio and residence of sculptor Alfonso Iannelli.

The donor will put up a dollar for every $2 raised.
Iannelli, who is perhaps best known for his art deco work on Park Ridge's Pickwick Theatre, lived and worked at his studio from about 1920 until his death in 1965.
It was there where he also designed sculptures for the 1933 Chicago Century of Progress Exposition, and the Rock of Gibraltar relief on the One Prudential Plaza, at 130 E. Randolph St. in downtown Chicago.
