$100K Bond For Man Charged With Fatally Striking Bicyclist
(CBS) -- A Park Ridge man who has been in jail since allegedly killing a cyclist on Wednesday on the near-North Side when he slammed into the man with his Mercedes is expected to be free this afternoon after his family posts 10 percent of his $100,000 bond, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
Ryne Sanhamel's mother put her hands to her face and cried as the prosecutor read the charges against her son, reckless homicide and aggravated DUI in the crash that killed cyclist Bobby Cann on Wednesday evening as he rode on the 1300 block of North Clybourn.

The prosecutor said the defendant had been drinking earlier in Wrigleyville. She said he failed all field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer at the scene.
When blood was later drawn, she said his blood alcohol content was measured at .127, more than twice the legal limit.
Sanhamel is 28 and his Linkedin profile says he is a partner in a business called Allyoucandrink.com, a nightlife directory.
The man he is accused of killing, Bobby Cann, was 26. He worked as a caption writer for Groupon and was an avid cyclist.
