Packers Hoping To Make 'Quicker Decision' On Rodgers' Status
(CBS) Mike McCarthy had no real update on the status of Aaron Rodgers, but the Packers head coach said the team is hoping to name a starting quarterback soon.
The Packers have waited until Friday to name a starter each of the last two weeks.
"Aaron Rodgers? A lot of conversation going on. Hopefully, we can get the question answered sooner than later," McCarthy said, via the team's website. "Aaron wants to play. He fully accepts and understands everything that is going on with his injury. This is clearly a decision for (general manager) Ted Thompson and I. I think it's important for us to make a quicker decision."
The Packers will practice Tuesday before having Christmas Day off.
Rodgers hasn't played since he was knocked out of a Monday night game against the Bears on Nov. 4.
