Pace Adjusting West Suburban Bus Lines
(WBBM/CBS) -- Pace is making adjustments to its west suburban bus schedules, effective Sunday.
Although minor timing and schedule adjustments affect many routes, there are more substantial changes involving seven routes.
Two are being combined -- the 303/Madison-19th and the 325/25th Avenue lines -- to run between the Rosemont and Forest Park CTA Blue Line stations.

Fewer buses will run weekdays on the 322/Cermak route between the North Riverside Park Mall and the CTA Pink Line terminal, but more trips weekends between the Pink Line and Yorktown Center, in Lombard, and 304/Cicero-LaGrange riders will have to transfer to the 322 to get east of North Riverside Park Mall.
The 320/Madison route will become rush-hours only because of falling ridership, while heavy ridership is prompting an increase in service on the 302/Ogden-Stanley and 315/Austin-Ridgeland routes.
Some of the routes are being changed for the first time since Pace took over operation of the line from private bus companies. Pace chairman Richard Kwasneski says the changes bring service more in line with existing demand, and allows Pace to operate more efficiently.
Public hearings on the changes took place in January. Pace personnel will hand out notices at stations and key transfer points to assure that riders know of the changes.
