Ozzie Guillen Leaves Us Scratching Our Heads
What was Ozzie thinking when he had Adam Dunn pinch-hit for Brent Lillibridge (he of the two-run homer earlier) in the ninth inning Wednesday?
Sox were down three with runners on second and third, one out, Paulie up next.
"I didn't like the matchup - Nathan against Lilly," Guillen said after the Sox 7-6 loss and Dunn's 157th strikeout this season. "Dunn can go up there and hit the ball out of the ballpark or walk. Obviously, he struck out, but that's the matchup I liked the best."
As for matchups, Dunn is now 0-for-3 lifetime against Nathan.
We play Thursday morning quarterback and debate Ozzie's decision between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Plenty of Bears talk, too.
Hope you will join Mully and me in the morning.
As always, thanks for listening.
