Owen Daniels Out For Texans; Alshon Jeffery Inactive For Bears
By Adam Hoge-
SOLDIER FIELD (CBS) Both the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears will be missing key receiving targets Sunday night, but the Texans' loss is certainly more significant.
Tight end Owen Daniels will not play for Houston after missing most of the week of practice with a back injury. Daniels already has five touchdowns this year, matching a career high. Garrett Graham, also a tight end product out of Wisconsin, will start in his place.
For the Bears, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss his fourth straight game as expected. Jeffery returned to the practice field for the first time Friday since injuring his hand against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5, but was unlikely to play.
Other Texans' inactives include: nose tackle Shaun Cody, running back Ben Tate, cornerback Roc Carmichael, safety Troy Nolan, guard Cody White and guard Brandon Brooks.
Also inactive for the Bears are: wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, center Edwin Williams, defensive tackle Matt Toeaina, tight end Brody Eldridge, defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu. Toeaina missed practice all week with a calf injury.
Defensive end Israel Idonije (ankle) and defensive tackle Henry Melton (back) also missed practice time this week, but will play Sunday night. Both were listed as probable for the game.
