Overnight CTA Work To Cause Delays On Blue Line
CHICAGO (STMW) - Late-night Blue Line riders on the Northwest Side should allow extra travel time this week, as construction is expected to cause minor delays. The work could also affect the new CTA Train Tracker's prediction availability.
Blue Line trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Belmont and California stations from 11 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday while crews perform track maintenance, according to the CTA website. The work will continue at the same times the rest of the week, concluding early Friday.
As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Logan Square station, the CTA said.
The newly launched CTA Train Tracker may be affected by the construction, the CTA said.
The CTA is expecting the work to cause minor delays, and passengers are advised to allow extra travel time.
