Over 100 people protest at Tesla dealership west of Chicago
More than 100 people turned out Tuesday for a protest outside a Tesla dealership in the west Chicago suburb of Lisle, Illinois.
Organizers with the Democratic Party of DuPage called the protest a "Tesla takedown." It is intended as a protest against President Trump and billionaire Elon Musk.
The protesters said they are fighting against Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, and its cuts to government services.
The flags of Canada and Ukraine, and the rainbow Pride flag, were seen in the crowd, along with numerous signs.
Protests against Tesla have been happening across the country. A protest was also held a little over a week ago at the Chicago Gold Coast Tesla dealership.
That protest, and the one on Tuesday, were peaceful. But New York, there were arrests after a demonstration at a Tesla showroom earlier this month.
Some actions against Tesla have involved violence or vandalism. Earlier Tuesday, at least five Tesla vehicles were damaged at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas, in what was called a "targeted attack" with two of the vehicles set on fire and others shot with guns.
