Oswego Woman Found Dead In Hotel Pool
FRANKFORT, Ill. (STMW) - Police are investigating the death of an Oswego woman found in a swimming pool of a Sybaris hotel where she was a guest Friday morning in southwest suburban Frankfort.
The 53-year-old Oswego woman was visiting Sybaris, 7500 W. Lincoln Hwy., with a man who called 911 at 9:08 a.m. to report she was deceased in a pool, said Frankfort police Cmdr. Kevin Keegan.
"She came to spend the night at Sybaris,'' Keegan said.
Keegan said he did not believe there were any signs of violence to her body but said that would be a "determination by the coroner's office.
She was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. Friday at the Lincoln Highway address, according to the Will County Coroner's office.
Her name was being withheld pending family notification, and an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday, according to the coroner's office.
Keegan said he does not know what could have caused her death.
"We have to look at all angles,'' he said.
A website for Sybaris describes the establishment as a luxury hotel with pool suites that is a romantic getaway for couples. A representative who answered the phone said she had no information immediately.
