Oswego Police Arrest 48 Teens For Underage Drinking At Party
(CBS) -- The Kendall County courthouse will be crowded next month when nearly 50 teens have to appear to face underage drinking charges, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.
Oswego Police had to call in extra officers and use a transport van several times to bring in all the kids from a party on Georgetown Drive to process them for underage drinking.
45 minors, mostly from Oswego, plus three 18-year-olds were arrested around 12:30 Sunday morning, according to captain Jeff Burgner.

"This is the largest number of arrests at one time that the Oswego Department has handled," Burgner said.
The homeowner and the mother of one of the underage drinkers, 35-year-old Gesenia Cobb was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She is not accused of providing alcohol to the teens, just supervising the party.
Captain Burgner says many people in the community still remember the DUI deaths of five teens seven years ago and that the police department takes underage drinking very seriously.
