Orioles Beat White Sox 10-4 As Ozzie Sits Out Game
CHICAGO (AP) -- Matt Wieters homered and drove in four runs Friday night, and the Baltimore Orioles beat the White Sox 10-4 in Chicago's first game without suspended manager Ozzie Guillen.
Luke Scott also homered and Brian Roberts drove in three runs for the Orioles. Jake Arrieta (3-1) pitched five solid innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks.
John Danks (0-4) gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk in only six innings, as the White Sox lost for the 12th time in 16 games.
Guillen was suspended the first two games of the series by Major League Baseball after he was ejected on Wednesday and posted derogatory comments on Twitter. Bench coach Joey Cora managed the team in Guillen's place.
