Orange Line Service Suspended After Workers Hit Gas Line
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Service on part of the Orange Line was suspected on Friday night after People's Gas hit a six-inch gas main in the 2800 block of South Ashland.
As of 7:30 p.m., service was not running between Halsted and 35th Street as crews shut off power to fix the line.
Trains were running between the Loop and Halsted. and between 35th Street and Midway.
Gas workers are on scene working to secure the leak.
The scene was secured around 8 p.m. and trains were running normally.
