Online Exhibit Celebrates 50th Anniversary Of O'Hare Dedication
CHICAGO (CBS) -- History buffs can have loads of fun surfing the Internet on a new online exhibit marking the 50th anniversary of the dedication of O'Hare International Airport.
WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports the exhibit was put together by Northwestern University's Transportation Library. It includes everything from video of President John F. Kennedy dedicating O'Hare in 1963, to more obscure findings like the four Marvel comic books that included O'Hare in their plots. Two of them are Spider-Man comic books.
There are pictures of 50-year-old O'Hare Airport postcards, and even a UFO video featuring a conversation from seven years ago between a pilot who saw something he couldn't explain at 38,000 feet, and the air traffic controller who saw nothing.
