One Person Killed In Hit-Run Accident On Southwest Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police say one person was killed early this morning in a hit and run accident on the Southwest Side.
According to Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer, a man was hit by a car at 31st and Damen, near the Stevenson Expressway ramps.
Officer Greer says the vehicle that hit the man attempted to get away, but police stopped it and took two people into custody.
The victim may have been selling newspapers near the ramp.
There are no charges at this point.
