One Killed, Two Seriously Injured In Lake Shore Drive Crash
(STMW) -- A man was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a crash on Lake Shore Drive on the Near South Side early Saturday.
About 4:30 a.m., the vehicle carrying the three hit a wall in the southbound lanes in the 2400 block of South Lake Shore Drive, police said.
A man believed to be in his 20s was killed in the crash, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m.
Two other people, whose ages and genders were not immediately known, were listed in serious condition at area hospitals, police said.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
