One Dead, One Wounded In South Shore Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One male was killed and another wounded in a Thursday night shooting in the South Shore neighborhood, police said.
The males were shot about 6:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of East 71st Street, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala, citing preliminary information.
Tyrone Soleberry, 39, was dead on the scene and the other was taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
