One Dead, Another Wounded In Albany Park Drive-By
CHICAGO (STMW) - One person is dead and another wounded after an apparent drive-by shooting in the North Side Albany Park neighborhood Saturday morning.
The two were shot in an alley in the 4000 block of North Bernard Street about 5:08 a.m. in an apparent drive-by, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said, citing preliminary information. Their ages and genders were not yet known.
One person was shot in the back and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where they were pronounced dead, Mirabelli said. The other was shot in the leg and taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in "stable" condition.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
