One Fatality After Motorcycle Crash
KANKAKEE COUNTY, Ill. (STMW) -- Speed appears to be the cause of a crash Wednesday that left a motorcyclist dead in Kankakee County.
Jason Cox, 23, of Bonfield was driving a Suzuki motorcycle at Route 102 near 4150 West Road when the motorcycle struck a Nissan Maxima turning left into a private driveway, according to a news release from Illinois State Police District 21. Speed appears to be a contributing cause in the crash.
Cox was taken to Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee where he was later pronounced dead Wednesday, according to the release. The driver of the Nissan Maxima was not injured.
No citations were issued.
Illinois State Police are investigating.
