Olsen: 'We Have Everything In Front Of Us'
The Bears lost to the New England Patriots by 29 points. But the single loss won't derail the team's season. A win over the struggling Vikings and a Packers' loss to the Patriots, would give the Bears the NFC North title.
"At the beginning of the season that's our first goal," Bears' tight end Greg Olsen said. "Obviously everyone's ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl. But first things first, the easiest way to get into the playoffs is to win your division. Then you don't have to count on wild cards and tie breakers and all that junk. Just win your division and you're in. And then, as we've all seen in the past, anything can happen. Once everyone makes the playoffs, it's kind of a clean slate."
The Bears are a week away from potentially clinching the NFC North crown. In the early stages of the season there were people who didn't think the Bears would win more than six games. Now, sitting at 9-4, the Bears control their own destiny.
"We kind of have our future in our hands here, going forward," Olsen said. "We have a huge division game, a national TV audience, on Monday night. And a chance to redeem ourselves from [Sunday's] poor performance. We have everything in front of us and we just have to go out and take care of business."
