Olczyk: Not Surpised 'Hawks Are Down
(WSCR) With their overtime loss last season, the Blackhawks are now down 3-1 to the Coyotes.
The series will now shift to Phoenix where the 'Hawks must win to stay alive. The deficit, however, isn't a shock to one Blackhawks expert.
"I'm not surprised (the Coyotes) are leading in the series," Eddie Olczyk told The Mully and Hanley Show. "I'm not surprised. They are a very good hockey club. We talked about this at the start of the series. I thought two areas to me would be the end all of this series: No 1 who can out-defend who? That's certainly a strength of the Phoenix Coyotes. That's playoff hockey because there's not a lot of room. ... No. 2 whose power play could cash in at the right time? ... To this point, I think the 'Hawks have only been able to get one power play goal in the series."

Still, it's not over for the Blackhawks.
"Right now, the Hawks have a real steep hill to climb," Olczyk said. "But look, we were down three games to Vancouver last year as well. That's the mindset you have to have. You have no choice. You put yourself in this spot."
