Obama Rally Closes Hyde Park Metra Station
CHICAGO (STMW) - Metra will close a train station near President Barack Obama's Saturday afternoon Hyde Park rally.
The Metra Electric District's 59th Street station will close at 2 p.m. because of a political rally in the Hyde Park neighborhood, according to Metra's website.
President Obama hosts the "Moving America Forward" rally at 4:30 p.m. at Midway Plaisance Park at 1130 E. Midway Plaisance North. The rally is just west of the 59th Street Metra station.
Passengers can board inbound or outbound trains at the 55th Street, 56th Street and 57th Street stations along Lake Park Avenue, according to Metra.
Regular service will resume Sunday morning.
