Oak Park U.S. Bank Branch Robbed
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man claiming to have a bomb robbed an Oak Park bank on Monday evening.
The man entered the U.S. Bank branch, 11 West Madison, around 5 p.m. and threatened a teller if his demands for cash were not met, according to a news release from the FBI. He claimed to be carrying a bomb inside a large bag.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the bank on foot, heading west. He was described as an African-American in his 20s, medium to large build, wearing dark clothing, a baseball-style cap and sunglasses. No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.
