Oak Park Teen Shot And Killed On West Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An Oak Park teen was shot and killed in the Lawndale neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
Nineteen-year-old Alexander Mayo was in the 1300 block of South Avers Avenue when he was shot multiple times about 1:25 p.m., authorities said.
Mayo, of the 100 block of South Cuyler Avenue in Oak Park, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died at 3:49 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
On Friday, police could provide few details about the homicide.
No one was in custody. Area Central detectives were investigating.
