Oak Park Restaurant Lets Customers Name Own Prices
OAK PARK, Ill. (WBBM) -- Although Uncle Sam decides how much you owe this tax day, a restaurant in Oak Park is allowing customers to "pay what is fair."
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Michele Fiore reports, general manager Nestor Flores is offering the deal at Maya del Sol, which serves Nuevo Latino cuisine at 144 S. Oak Park Ave. in Oak Park.

"We have authentic dishes like pulled pork from the Yucatan area. It's actually an original Maya recipe. We have fish tacos that are Baja California style, and believe it or not, if all else fails, we have a great cheeseburger," Flores said.
But the food won't be the only benefit at the restaurant Monday.
"We're handing out the menu that we always carry to all our guests, but instead of a price, there's a blank space, and you name your own price," Flores said. "Whatever you write down, that's what we charge you."
Maya del Sol has already taken over 200 reservations for the day, but walk-ins are still welcome. The "pay what is fair" deal applies to dine-ins only – not carry-outs – and beverages are not included.
