NU's Fitzgerald To Shave Head For Charity
Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald will be among several Wildcat players and coaches who will shave their heads to benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation.
The Wildcats started their spring practices this week, but on Wednesday a few of the programs members will head to Jay's Barber Shop in Evanston to donate their hair.
St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
This isn't the first time that Fitzgerald has taken to the barber chair to benefit the charity, he did the same in 2009 and 2010.
