Northwestern's Crawford Done For Year With Shoulder Injury
(WSCR) Northwestern's chances of making the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament didn't get any better Friday when news broke that senior Drew Crawford's season was over after suffering a shoulder injury.
According to a report, Crawford will seek a medical hardship waiver for a fifth season after undergoing shoulder surgery for a torn labrum. School officials are reportedly optimistic about the request.
Admittedly, Crawford was having a bit of a down year. After averaging 16.1 points per game in 2011 on 48.4 percent shooting, he was scoring 13.5 points on 40 percent shooting this season.
