Northwestern Suspends JerShon Cobb For 2012-13 Season
(CBS) Northwestern announced Friday is has suspended junior guard JerShon Cobb for the entire 2012-13 season due to violations of a team policy.
Cobb will remain enrolled at Northwestern and will continue to be a part of the Wildcats' basketball program.He maintains two years of athletic eligibility.
"There are standards that each student-athlete is expected to uphold," Northwestern head men's basketball coach Bill Carmody said. "JerShon has our complete support as he works to fulfill those expectations and we look forward to having him rejoin the program in a full capacity in the future."
