'No' Vote For Planned West Chicago Islamic Center
(WBBM) - The DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals has overwhelmingly rejected a petition by an Islamic group to operate a religious center in an unincorporated area near West Chicago.

The board voted 6-1 Thursday night against the request, citing concerns about overtaxing well and septic systems and negatively affecting nearby property values.
The Chicago Tribune reports the recommendation will be forwarded to the DuPage County Board development committee.
The ultimate decision will be made by the DuPage County Board next year.
