No Juice Means No Gas At Some Service Stations
SKOKIE, Ill. (CBS) -- It's not just homes that are without electricity. Plenty of businesses are still powerless, and that could impact you if you're looking for something like gas.
CBS 2's Kristyn Hartman reports.
Usually drivers stop to fill the tank. But on Thursday, they came and went at gas stations on the North Shore.
The reason is simple: No power, no pump. Even the com Ed guy couldn't fuel up.
Not far away, Aymen Zabadnay's Skokie condo building has been powerless for two full days.
He has candles in his kitchen and rotting, thawing food in the fridge. And he has two small children to worry about.
Driver Jim Pongratz's message to ComEd: "For what we spend for electricity, they should be able to chop-chop and get it done."
