No Injuries After Vehicle Shot On Lake Shore Drive

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Area Central detectives are investigating after a vehicle was damaged by gunfire early Tuesday while driving on Lake Shore Drive on the South Side.

About 3:30 a.m., a 32-year-old man was driving southbound in the 2000 block of South Lake Shore Drive with two passengers when their vehicle was fired upon by an occupant of a black vehicle, according to Chicago Police. The black vehicle, which also had three people inside, then sped away.

No one was injured in the shooting, but the 32-year-old's vehicle was damaged, police said.

No one was in custody early Tuesday as the investigation is ongoing.
