Mega Millions Ticket Worth $1M Sold In Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) -- There were no jackpot winners in Illinois in Tuesday night's $636 million Mega Millions drawing, but there was one person who won a $1 million prize after buying a ticket in Chicago.
WBBM Newsradio's Regine Schlesinger reports that ticket was sold at the Tai Nan Food Mart at 4935 North Broadway in Chicago. Whoever bought the ticket won a $1 million prize by matching five of the numbers in Tuesday night's drawing.
The winning numbers were 8-14-17-20-39, and the mega ball was 7.
The two tickets that won a share of the $636 million jackpot -- the second largest lottery prize in U.S. history -- were sold in Atlanta and San Jose, California.
In addition, 20 players matched four of the numbers for prizes of $5,000 each.
