No Charges Coming After Investigation Into Benedictine University Sexual Assault Claims
(CBS) -- Prosecutors have decided not to charge anyone after an investigation into sexual assault charges at Benedictine University.
After talking to six persons of interest and conducting many interviews, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin has decided there is insufficient evidence to move forward with charges, according to a spokesman.
Two 19 year-old women, a Benedictine student and her friend, claimed they were assaulted early on Sept 15 when they returned to a dorm after a night out.
The university says in a statement that it may take action against students who violate the school's code of conduct, but that would be a private matter.
