No Bond For Man Charged In Washington Heights Murder
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man charged in a barbershop shooting that left a man critically wounded in the Washington Heights neighborhood was ordered held without bond Monday.
Ideary Mooney, 38, faces one felony count of attempted first-degree murder after he opened fire in a barbershop about 2:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.
A 34-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, legs and groin and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He was listed in critical condition early Monday.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, police said.
Mooney, of the 1200 block of West 74th Place, was ordered held without bond Monday, authorities said. He will next appear in court Friday.
