NIU, Fresno State In Humanitarian Bowl
BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Northern Illinois will play Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl on Dec. 18 in Boise.
Bowl and Mid-American Conference officials on Sunday announced the matchup between Northern Illinois (10-3) and Fresno State (8-4) of the Western Athletic Conference.
Fresno State is going to a bowl for the fourth straight season, while Northern Illinois will play in a bowl game for the third straight season.
Officials at Northern Illinois say the two teams are meeting for the fifth time, and for the first time since 1991.
The teams have split the four previous meetings.
