Ninth Inning HR Not Enough, Cubs Lose To Pirates 4-2
CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Cubs got a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth from outfielder Alfonso Soriano, but that was too little, too late as the Cubs lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 on Friday.

Pirates starter Kevin Correia held the Cubs to four hits and no runs over 7.1 innings pitched.
Cubs starter Doug Davis lasted 4.2 innings, giving up four runs, but only two of those runs were earned.
Starlin Castro, Carlos Pena, Soriano and Koyie Hill were the only Cubs to record hits, Pena had two singles.
