Nine-Month Old Baby Has Witnessed Two Perfect Games
(WSCR) It's not often a 9-month-old baby makes headlines in the sports world.
But that's exactly what 9-month-old Bode Dockal of Seattle is doing.
Little Bode has witnessed not one but two perfect games in his short life. On April 21, Bode's father, Paul, took his son to his first baseball game at Safeco Field.
After all, Paul's favorite team, the White Sox, were in town, so Paul thought it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce his son to the game of baseball. Little did he know Philip Humber would throw baseball's 21st perfect game.
"It's one of those things that, I don't think he could understand how important it was for me to be with him until he has a son of his own," Paul told MLB.com. "The first thing I said to my wife was, 'This is the best day I've ever had with my son.'"
The story doesn't end there, though.
Again in August, Paul decided to take Bode to another baseball game. At Bode's second game, he witnessed the Mariners' Felix Hernandez throw baseball's 23rd perfect game.
Pretty good luck for the little guy.
