Nick Roach undergoes minor knee surgery
Bears linebacker, Nick Roach, underwent an arthroscopic debridement on his left knee. For those outside of the medical field, what this mean is that Roach had minor knee surgery and will in fact be able to play in the regular season opener.
According to the team's website the surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Bowen and Roach returned to Halas Hall before noon. The Northwestern product has played well during camp and is in a competitive battle with Pisa Tinoisamoa for the third starting linebacker spot. With the knee injury and time lost during recovery, it appears as if Tinoisamoa has the edge, at least for now, in winning the position battle.
