NFLPA Prepares Strike Fund For Potential Lockout
With just days left to come up with a new collective bargaining agreement, the NFL is taking every step to prepare for a lockout. Included in these preparations is a fund to pay players if there is a lockout.
Pete Prisco of CBS Sports is reporting that the NFLPA will pay players lump-sum checks if things go for the worst. Players would be paid according to how many years they have been in the league.
According to CBS Sports, the NFLPA set aside money from union dues and royalties to make such a fund in case there was a lockout. When players will be paid is to be determined.
