NFL And Players Union Take Steps To 'Intensify Negotiations'
This is a big week for the NFL. It's Super Bowl week and all eyes will be on Dallas and the two teams preparing to battle for the Lombardi Trophy. But there's going to be another battle going on in Dallas.
NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith and Commissioner Roger Goodell met today in New York to discuss everything related to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Both sides of the negotiations have agreed to meet on Saturday in the Dallas area in an effort to intensify negotiations.
They also agreed to a series of meetings over the next few weeks, both formal bargaining sessions and smaller group meetings, in an effort to reach a new agreement by early March.
